    Senecaville, Ohio -- OSU Extension's meeting on pipelines held at Secrest Senior Center drew the interest of nearly 100 landowners from eastern Ohio on July 24, 2012. OSU Extension Educator Mark Landefeld and Peggy Hall, director of OSU Extension's Agricultural and Resource Law Program, discussed the gas pipeline development process, potential impacts of pipelines and terms to consider when negotiating pipeline easements. The two are part of an OSU Extension team currently developing a series of publications on pipeline development issues.

    COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio needs to take steps to make sure the state benefits from the shale energy boom in both the short- and long-term, a new policy brief from Ohio State University suggests.

    Without action, regions of the Buckeye state could enter a boom/bust cycle that would likely have long-lasting negative effects, the analysts said.
